Kristine Boehmer
(she/her)
Kristine has a strong background working with children, adolescents, families and adults. She specializes in anxiety disorders, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, separation anxiety, social anxiety, phobias and panic attacks as well as situations that may contribute to anxiety, such as depression, mood disorders, and PANS/PANDAS. She also has experience working with neurodivergent children, teens and their families, in helping support them in situations driven by neurotypical expectations.
Kristine enjoys helping families and parents learn how to support children’s emotional well-beings, manage challenging behaviors, and improve family functioning. She uses an eclectic approach based on each individual’s or family’s needs, which includes Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), emotional freedom technique (EFT or “tapping”), Nature Informed Therapy and by incorporating art and play into sessions. Kristine is also trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). She is passionate about Adventure Therapy, holistic approaches, nature, and incorporating ecotherapy into her work with clients. Kristine is certified in Wilderness First Aid, as well as adult and child CPR/AED.
on a more personal note…
I love reading, running, hiking, backpacking, animals (especially random animal facts— did you know that ants don’t have lungs!?), art, travel, nature, and spending time with family and friends.
